Following that, you take your allowance acct's beginning #, $46000, add the monthly bad debt accruals $76200, subtract out write-offs (73000) = $49200. But we're not done yet. From there you subtract that number I mentioned above, which happens to be $66968, leaving us with $17768. Oh my bob . . . Bad expense is then determined by adding that number to the monthly accruals to equal $93,968. And finally, Accts receivable is found by taking $639,000 and subtracting $66968 to equal $572032.
